Dremel Medical had the opportunity to visit the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS) annual meeting in Washington DC during the week of October 20-22, 2022. This was the second time attending this conference for Dremel Medical, and Dremel Medical was very excited to speak with some of the best facial plastic surgeons in the world.
As a small company, it is important for Dremel Medical to take advantage of opportunities networking and meeting with physicians they would not normally have access to. This provides Dremel Medical with the chance to gain new customers and collaborate with industry professionals to improve their products. They view attending conferences such as AAFPRS as an investment in not only their company, but also in the relationships they are developing. When we had the opportunity to collaborate with other industry professionals, Dremel Medical took the chance to speak with surgeons about how the Lotus series cannulas could be customized to their liking. We also introduced them to our latest nasal kits.
As Doug Dremel said, "It is always beneficial for us to be able to listen to surgeons and learn about how our products can help them. Our focus was to listen to our customers, provide brand awareness, see other companies' products, and let our customers know that we are 'The New Standard' in medical devices and consumables for all our products."
Not only was the meeting for vendors coordinated perfectly by Rita, Dremel Medical were the only vendors to attend the dinner on Spirit of Washington yacht. Dremel Medical recognizes that investments in societies like AAFPRS are crucial to ensure that learning from the greatest facial plastic surgeons can continue to be passed down; something Dremel Medical understands.
Taking a yacht around the bay to celebrate Doug and Danielle's wedding anniversary was a great way to celebrate. While we were on board, AAFRS President Dr. Theda Kontis made an announcement about Dremel Medical's owners Doug and Danielle to let everyone know about the special day. Afterwards, there was dancing and cocktails.
Lastly, on the last night of the meeting no one could forget playing shuffleboard with a host of new friends the following evening, while enjoying an 80's theme party meeting a host of great people in the facial plastics industry. Our hosts at the conference were gracious and we enjoyed staying at the Gaylord Hotel in Harbor Point.
Overall, it was a great experience and I'm looking forward to next year's meeting in Las Vegas! In the mean time, we hope you enjoy our website and feel free to contact us about ideas you may have.
